Pupshoppe: A Pandemic Lockdown Project

Albert.

The name that started Pupshoppe. Yes, that's him in the logo.

My name is Flo and I’m Albert’s hooman.I’ve been a dog owner all my life but it was only with Albert that I have become a dog mom. I now see dogs as being part of the family. They’re our companion and they give us so much joy by just their very existence.

I started baking dog cookies for Albert during the 2020 lockdown and after a few months, I decided to sell these online.  Despite the good feedback,  I felt that the products were still lacking. That’s when my focus shifted to nutrition.

I realized that I was not proactive in giving Albert healthy treats. I was only baking these dog cookies to reduce the amount of commercially made treats that he was consuming. I started baking treats made with healthy ingredients and I stood firm in keeping these treatos free of preservatives.

I decided to study canine nutrition and I received my diploma in the last quarter of 2021. Our products now have more ingredients that are beneficial to our beloved canine companions’ overall health. My goal is for Pupshoppe to consistently provide cakes and treatos that have zero preservatives and are made from quality, human-grade ingredients. Now, it finally feels right and the feedback we're getting from fur parents seem to support this.

Pupshoppe evolved from a pandemic lockdown hobby to an actual business. I couldn't be more grateful to the fur parents who supported us from Day 1 and to the all future customers, hoomans and doggos.

Dogs deserve delicious meals and treats but we need to feed them healthy and nutrient-rich food for them to live a long and healthy life with us. As a popular quote goes; no matter how many years we get with our dogs, it is never long enough.

We have more healthy and delicious products in store for your fur babies in the coming years, so be sure to follow us on our social media accounts to stay updated when these are available. Thank you, and we look forward to serving you!

- Flo 🙂
